Kempen is a historical and modern town that exudes a friendly welcome at first glance. With some 36,000 inhabitants, the town lies in the north of the district of Viersen on the Lower Rhine. The Old Town with its patrician houses and half-timbered buildings is regarded as one of the loveliest on the entire Lower Rhine.
